SMS Consent & Opt-In

last updated 2026-08-26 · v1.0

This page documents exactly how Customer Service Pro collects consent before sending a text message, what a person sees at the moment they give it, and how they stop. It is written for two readers: the carrier reviewing our toll-free registration, and anyone who gets a message from us and wants to check we had the right to send it.

1. Who sends these messages.

SenderMichael Neubauer, doing business as Customer Service Pro
LocationSyracuse, New York, United States
Sending number(877) 502-9738
Contactmichael@customerserviceprofessional.com
Websitecustomerserviceprofessional.com

This page covers our own first-party messaging only. Customers who deploy Aria on their own site register their own number under their own brand and collect consent from their own visitors; those messages are not sent from the number above.

2. How consent is collected.

Opt-in type: web form. There is exactly one place a phone number can reach us — the follow-up card inside the chat widget on customerserviceprofessional.com. There is no purchased list, no imported file, and no other intake path.

  1. A visitor starts a conversation with Aria, our support agent, on our own website.
  2. They choose to leave contact details so we can follow up on the question they asked.
  3. The mobile number field is optional and labelled for texts. Name and email can be submitted without it.
  4. The consent checkbox and its disclosure do not exist until a mobile number is typed. A visitor who never enters a number is never shown an SMS request at all.
  5. The checkbox is unchecked by default. Nothing is pre-selected, and consent is not bundled into any other agreement.
  6. Submitting a number with the box unchecked is refused with an error. The number is stored only when consent is true, so declining leaves nothing on file.

3. What the visitor sees.

Reproduced below from the same copy the widget ships, at the moment a mobile number has been entered:

The consent language, verbatim:

I agree to receive text messages from Customer Service Pro about my request. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help.

4. Frequency and cost.

Message frequency varies. Messages are sent in response to a request the recipient started, so the count depends entirely on that conversation. This is not a recurring campaign; there is no scheduled or broadcast send. Message and data rates may apply, per the recipient’s own carrier plan.

5. Stopping, and getting help.

Opt-out is honored on any of these keywords, in any casing, with no further conditions:

STOP · STOPALL · UNSUBSCRIBE · CANCEL · END · QUIT

On receipt, the opt-out is recorded immediately in two places — the messaging subsystem and the contact record — and no further message is sent to that number. Opting out never requires a reply, a phone call, or a login.

HELP and INFO return:

Customer Service Pro: For help, contact michael@customerserviceprofessional.com. Reply STOP to opt out.

6. What we send.

Conversational and transactional messages only, each tied to a request the recipient started: an answer to their question, an update on an open request, confirmation of a scheduled call, or a check-in when something was left unresolved.

We send no marketing or promotional SMS. No offers, no campaigns, no newsletters, no re-engagement blasts.

7. What we never do.

8. The rest of the terms.

Full detail lives in the two documents linked beside the checkbox: the Terms of Service (section 5 covers SMS) and the Privacy Policy (how a number is stored, for how long, and how to have it erased).
